It’s always lovely to be asked to return to the beautiful Elcot Park Hotel, near Newbury, Berkshire, so I was delighted when Hannah and Michael asked me to photograph their wedding there. Their whole wedding was at the hotel so I started with some photos of Hannah getting ready. She was helped by her mother, bridesmaids, and Alana, their Flower Girl.
A slightly nervous Michael was downstairs with his brothers waiting for the ceremony in the Percy Bysse Shelley Suite as the guests arrived. Hannah’s brothers accompanied her into the ceremony in the Suite, with William in military uniform. The light and sightlines in the Suite are great so allow great, unobtrusive photography of the ceremony.
After the ceremony, with the bride and groom now relieved of their pre-wedding nerves, the rest of the day was full of joy and laughter. Some relaxed photos around the stunning grounds of Elcot Park on a lovely summer’s day were followed by some moving and hilarious speeches. Then, after the wedding breakfast, the guests were able to relax outside in the evening, William showed off his air guitar skills and the party really got going with the first dance. Thanks to Hannah and Michael for allowing me to share in their wonderful day.
