Arranging weddings is, as I know from personal experience, quite a task, so I have to take my hat off to Becca and Jamie, who put their together in around six weeks. Of course, it helped having Stokes Farm Barn, near Wokingham, Berkshire, as their wonderful venue, brilliantly organised by Suzanne.
Becca got ready at their home in Swindon, Wiltshire, and didn’t need any photos of bridal prep so I started the day at Stokes Farm Barn catching up with Jamie and his Best Man, Ian, as they were meeting and greeting the guests. Of course, getting ready so far away adds a little bit of logistical risk, but luckily Becca had no problems on her trip from Swindon along the M4 and we were all relieved to see her arrive on time and enter with their bridesmaids Phoebe, Belle and Star. The beautiful ceremony was full of laughs, especially when Becca referred to Jamie as Ian during the vows – in fairness, it’s not just the Best Man’s name but is also Jamie’s middle name.
Becca and Jamie wanted a fun, informal day and Stokes Farm Barn definitely did them proud, with a Bouncy Castle for the kids and adults and wonderful relaxed settings for the guests and for photos. The Peg Game provided great entertainment as people found clothes pegs mysteriously attached to their suits – and hair! Since Becca and Jamie had organised their wedding at short notice the ceremony was at 11am so it was a lovely long, slow paced and relaxed day where the bride and groom could take the time to enjoy it – sometimes wedding days can seem such a rush. Anyway here are a few photos from their day which hopefully get across some of the relaxed atmosphere. Thanks Becca and Jamie.
