It already seems a long time ago now but I had the pleasure of photographing the very informal and fun wedding of Karen and Darren back in February at the beautiful Olde Bell Hotel in Hurley, Berkshire. The bride and groom broke with convention and met with their guests together before their ceremony in the Olde Bell Malthouse’s Oak Room. They also entered the ceremony together informally with their guests. After that, they moved into the Music Room to mingle and I tried to capture some of the (many) laughs.
Although the weather was fairly bleak, as you might expect for a February, it was mostly dry so we were able to get a few relaxed shots of groups of guests and of the new bride and groom around the venue grounds before heading back into the warm of the Music Room for some more fun. Karen and Darren had booked my Shorter Service, so once they had taken their seats for their meal I said my goodbyes and headed home. I’ve no doubt the fun and laughs continued well into the evening after I’d gone. Thanks to the bride and groom for a lovely day.
