It is always nice to be asked to photograph a wedding following a recommendation from previous couples. So I was pleased when Sam and Andy asked me to photograph their small and intimate wedding in Henley-on-Thames. Not only had I been recommended by Helen and Mark, but Sam and Andy had seen me in action as guests at their wedding at Warbrook House back in April.
Sam and Andy chose my Shorter Service to cover up to four hours of their happy day, starting before their ceremony at Henley Town Hall, and ending when they took their seats for their Wedding Breakfast at Antony Worrall Thompson’s Greyhound Restaurant in Peppard. Unfortunately our brief photo session by the Thames coincided with something of a deluge, but Sam and Andy weathered the storm and kept smiling throughout – and I managed to keep the rain drops off my lens glass. I left Sam and Andy as they happily entered the Barn at the Greyhound for their meal cooked by Mr Worrall Thompson himself.
