Beautiful Oakley Court Hotel near Windsor, Berkshire was the venue for the wedding of Carley and David. Stunning grounds and a gothic mansion on the Thames make for quite a setting.
The light and space were fantastic in the room in which Carley got ready which made for plenty of preparation shots as I tried to make the best use of the mirrors (without getting reflected in them). An emotional father of the bride was suitably stunned on seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time before he escorted her to the Windsor Suite for the ceremony, led by Peter West, the Toastmaster.
After their beautiful ceremony and poses for the guests, everyone was led back into the hotel for drinks and canapés rather than the grounds as, unfortunately, the rain was coming down hard and fast. The bride and groom were not going to let that dampen their spirits, so we managed to get a few minutes outside for some portraits of the newlyweds before making the most of Oakley Court’s beautiful interior for some shots of Carley on her own.
It was then back to the Windsor Suite for the breakfast and speeches which included some very interesting (and perhaps not entirely accurate) memoirs of the groom and his footballing exploits, read by the best man. The staff at Oakley Court did a very quick and efficient job of preparing the room for the evening celebrations and the first dance before everyone joined in on the dance floor.
