Christine and Anthony chose a Thursday wedding at Old Luxters Barn near Henley-on-Thames for their special day’s celebrations. It was an international occasion, including many of Christine’s family and friends from Ontario, Canada. Sadly one of her brothers was unable to come so Christine caught up with him by Skype before she got ready. Christine chose not to have bridal preparations photos so my day really started just before their ceremony in the barn.
Since the vineyards at Old Luxters were not looking their greenest, due to the time of year, we were able to take time away from the guests (who were enjoying themselves in the marquee) after the ceremony to make the most of the beautiful view of Hambleden Valley. The bride and groom were particularly fond of this view and knew it was a few minutes’ walk away so Christine wisely brought flat shoes.
After some very amusing and moving speeches the evening’s party got under way, starting with cutting the cake (made by Anthony’s mum) and the first dance. Then it was time to take a few last photos of the fun as everyone else joined in the dancing.
