A beautiful mid-October day with unseasonal high temperatures and a very bright and low sun were the order of the day for the wedding of Amie and Wayne at the Holy Family Church in Slough, Berkshire and the Grovefield House Hotel in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. The day started at Amie’s parents’ house with the preparations of the bride and her bridesmaids. It’s always fun when there’s a full house and I pride myself on not getting in the way when it gets a bit hectic and the makeup and morning champagne corks start flying. After a traditional ceremony at the Holy Family church the celebrations started and the bride and groom’s daughter, Sophia made a happy star appearance to assist her mum and dad on their way down the aisle.
A short trip to the beautiful Grovefield House Hotel in Taplow for a great afternoon. Plenty of sun for the group shots and some low angles for the bride and groom shots before the sun disappeared early as it does in October. The Grovefield House Hotel does the best bangers and mash I’ve tasted and was a great venue for the wedding breakfast and preparations for the evening do. Brilliant Frank Sinatra tribute Paul Holgate started the evening’s festivities before the bride and groom’s first dance. After staying for a few more songs to capture the atmosphere as the guests joined in, I headed home to leave Amie and Wayne to enjoy the rest of their special day.
