Warbrook House is a beautiful Georgian mansion house in Eversley, Hampshire run by DeVere. It has fabulous grounds and offers some great opportunities for wedding photography. Samantha and Chris were kind enough to ask me to photograph their wedding there. Although I had worked at Warbrook House before, this was the first time I had shot a wedding ceremony in the Canal View Room. It is smaller and has a very different feel from the other main ceremony room, the Stapleton James Room. The light is low but falls in beautifully through the panelled windows and makes for very atmospheric shooting of the ceremony. I arrived for Samantha’s preps, which were mostly in the Morning Room, before heading out to catch Chris’ arrival and the build up to the ceremony.
Samantha and Chris certainly made best use of the whole of Warbrook House. After the ceremony we used both terraces for formals and informals before I took the bride and groom off for a few photos around the grounds. They then had plenty of time to get back to their guests and mingle while I milled around for some candid photos. Warbrook offers some great grounds for the children to run around which always makes for fun photos. The Stapleton James room was the venue for the wedding breakfast, speeches and cake cutting. The evening reception was then in the central area in Warbrook House and the evening guests joined the party for the First Dance. Following that I left the party to head home to download and back up the day’s photos. Thanks to Samantha and Chris for a great day.
